Paignton Zoo
4th Exeter (Whipton) Beaver Scouts took part in a visit to Paignton Zoo on Saturday 30th September 2006. The visit was organised by Exeter District Beaver Scouts to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Beaver Scouts.
Twelve colony members from the Group went on the trip, along with leaders and adult helpers. They went on a ride on the train around gibbon island, visited the new baby giraffe, Yoda, who has only recently took up residence at the zoo, as well as seeing all the other animals and attractions, stopping for a packed lunch after many cries of 'when is it lunch time' and 'I'm hungry'.
At 3pm all the district Beaver colonies met up to sing happy birthday to Beavers and cut a specially made cake in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Beaver Scouts.
